New Race Date: Saturday, August 23rd at 5:00 PM |
The 8k course is not yet certified by USA Track and Field. Run primarily on the roads and paved bike paths around Helena, the race will start in the parking lot of the Carroll College football stadium and finish near the Great Northern Carousel. The finish line is conveniently located at the Carousel in the Great Northern Towne Center, where runners can enjoy food, drink and live music. There will be a pig-roast barbeque celebration immediately following the race at the finish area, generously provided by the event sponsor, First Community Bank. Timing will be provided by Perfect Timing.
Joggers and walkers are welcome. The course will be officially open for two hours. Please plan accordingly. Strollers and Baby Joggers are welcome.
There is a very short section of gravel road on the course, but it should not limit their use. We encourge the use of helmets for infants and toddlers riding.in strollers or Baby Joggers. Dogs, bicycles, roller skates, in-line skates and skateboards are not allowed. The use of headphones is discouraged.
Last year, the Railway 8K raised approximately $3,000 for The Friendship Center!
